The courtyard and the cellar room
A place that's been here longer than most
The building behind Larsbjørnsstræde 9 has had many lives. La Galette moved in in 1992, and the same French owner has run it ever since.

Good to know
- Is the food gluten-free?
- Our galettes are made purely from Breton buckwheat, so the batter contains neither gluten nor lactose. Dessert crêpes are made with wheat flour, but we're happy to make yours with buckwheat instead. Fillings contain cheese, egg and meat — tell us if anything should be left out. We are not a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, so please mention coeliac disease when you order.
- Can I book a table?
- Yes. Reservations are taken by phone only: +45 33 32 37 90. There is no online booking. For weekend evenings, call a couple of days ahead.
- Where is the entrance?
- We're in the courtyard building. Walk through the gate at Larsbjørnsstræde 9, past the Obelix figure, and in through the door at the far end. There is no street frontage.
- Is there outdoor seating?
- Yes, we have courtyard tables, open when the weather allows.
- Do you take cards?
- Yes, we accept the usual payment cards.
- Do you do takeaway or delivery?
- No. A galette should be eaten hot and straight off the pan, so we do neither.
- Can we come as a larger group?
- There are 45 seats across two floors. Call +45 33 32 37 90 and we'll work it out.
- Is there room for a pushchair?
- The courtyard works well with a pushchair. Indoors there are two floors and stairs, so call ahead if you need space on the ground floor.
